How Chronological Age is Mathematically Calculated

Chronological age measurement determines the time elapsed from birth to a target date. The calendar calculation requires borrowing days from previous months when the target day of the month is smaller than the birth day:

• Day Borrowing: If Target Day < Birth Day, subtract 1 from Target Month and add the number of days in the preceding month.
• Month Borrowing: If Target Month < Birth Month, subtract 1 from Target Year and add 12 to Target Month.
• Leap Year Handling: February 29 leap years (years divisible by 4, except century years not divisible by 400) are automatically accounted for.
